How to edit, preview, and save pages

When editing pages on the CMS, you have the following options for previewing and saving content:
If you want to test out how the page will look, you can:
Preview - When you click ‘preview’, a new tab will open with a mobile view of the content so you can see how it will look for the public.
Save draft - This is what to do when you don’t want to put the page online right away because you plan to edit or add more content later.
Publish - As soon as you publish a page on the CMS, it will be viewable online by all users or selected groups (see 3.4). Note that depending on the level of your account, you won’t be able to publish immediately if the pages you are trying to add or create require moderators’ approval, and you will need to do the next option.
Submit to Moderators Approval - For quality assurance purposes, moderators may be assigned to review your content before it is published. If so, moderators will get an email notifying them of their need to review before it is published. You will not need to do anything after submitting it for approval - except maybe nag the moderators if they take too long!
Unpublish - This is how you stop a page from being visible and can be useful if you plan to put it back online later.
Edit - Content on pages can be edited at any time - but you will need to ‘publish’ the page again for the changes to be made live.
Delete - Be careful with this one. If you delete a category, you will be deleting all the courses within it. If you delete a course, you will be deleting all the lessons within it. If you’re not sure if the page will be useful in the future, it’s better to just unpublish the page instead.
Note: Make sure you have filled out all fields correctly first otherwise the preview and save functions will not work due to ‘validation’ errors. You will see red text alerting you to this and will need to check that you have filled in all fields that have a red asterisk before trying again. Some pages will have multiple tabs with mandatory fields that all need to be filled out to avoid validation errors. Here’s an example of what we mean by tabs within a page:
