How to set up a exam / learning survey

Exam tab

In the exam tab, make sure you choose between whether you want to create a learning survey or an exam. You can only choose one type. Generally, learning surveys are used for the welcome lesson and sometimes for a revision lesson at the end, and all lessons in between use exams.

Generally, we recommend the exam pass score should be 75%, but this can be customised if need be. Surveys, unlike exams, do not require that the user receives a minimum score to pass and complete the course.

To add test questions, you need to select one of the five quiz types depending on whether you want there to be one or multiple correct answers, or a drag and drop format.

There is a revision note that can be created in the exam or lesson to provide learners with a general reminder of the key points covered in a lesson, tailored to each question that they answered incorrectly.

This is located at the end of an exam when learners are given the opportunity to review the questions they answered incorrectly. Revision notes are displayed alongside these questions to assist the user in reconsidering their answer, so they can get it right when they retake the exam. Not displayed in a survey.

Quiz Question

When creating a quiz in the lesson section, you can add a revision note for each answer, whether it’s correct or incorrect.

This revision note helps the learner to review and remember the key information quickly and easily without giving the exact answer.

1. Question - Choose one

To add a card, select the '+' and then select the card type from the menu. Here’s an example of adding a ‘quiz - choose one’ card, which is what you do when you want to create a question with one correct answer:

The question - choose one format limits respondents to selecting only a single option as the correct answer. This format functions similarly when applied to question - choose one image. The difference lies in the fact that the answer choices consist of images instead of text, while the requirement remains the same: selecting a single image as the correct response.

2. Question - Choose multiple

Unlike usual multiple-choice questions where only one option is correct, question - choose multiple answers allow to choose more than one correct answer. The number of correct options may vary, and respondents must carefully evaluate each choice before selecting all the appropriate answers.

In a similar format to the question - choose multiple answer, the choose multiple images answer to each question by selecting multiple images instead of text.

3. Question - Drag and drop

Drag and drop question contains a set of words or short phrases (text items) that the learner must drag into response targets to the correct order.

The correct order is set when creating the answers. Please include a order instruction of how to specify the order you'd answers to be provided, i.e. 'Order items from highest to lowest', 'Order items from most important to least important', etc. The answers must be in the correct order, then it will be randomized in the app.
