To create a user, go to ‘settings’ then ‘users’, then ‘add a user’. Create a username for them based on their name, fill in their personal details, and then create a password for them which you will then need to share with the user. Then in the ‘roles’ tab, add them to the appropriate user group as below:

To edit information about an existing user, go to ‘settings’ then ‘users’, then hover over the name of the user and select ‘edit’, then save after editing the information. Using the edit function is also how you reset a user password.

To delete a user, go to ‘settings’, then select ‘users’, then hover over the name of the user and select ‘delete’ and confirm.

Users of the backend

There are also roles set for users of Wagtail, i.e. the 'back-end' of Bero, such as program staff. These are the following:

Administrators - Administrators can do everything on the CMS - including adding or editing users - so it is not the type of account that we want to give to everyone working on a program.

Moderators - Moderators can create, edit, approve, and publish content - but can’t add or edit users. This role is useful for content review groups.

Editors - Editors can create and edit content but can’t publish it without the approval of moderators, and also can’t add or edit users.
