Make a global plan

Now that some information was collected, it's time to make a plan. This plan can be inspired by a pre-existing workplan document or the opportunity to create one. The goal is to end up with a document that tells a high level story of what we're aiming to achieve. It should contain a list of independent, self-contained, units of work whose priority can be shuffled around depending on the most current knowledge on the project's direction, expectations and deadlines. The visual representation of these units of work over time is what we call a Roadmap and it's an important artefact that helps us understand high level progress.

To help keep track of units of work, we like to use an Epic Selection Document where we list basic information on all forthcoming Epics.
