Regular conversations and communication between the manager and team member about the day to day work and responsibilities are super important. These conversations are more about how they are tracking with their work tasks, are they on track/off track, where any blockers are and what support or advice is needed etc.
The frequency of these conversations can be determined between the manager and the employee i.e., daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, but remember for remote based staff, more regularly might be helpful for them to stay better connected. They can be recorded in a way that suits both employee and manager.
